Ray Mang @ Melting Pot, The Admiral, 3 May

It’s amazing that seven years after it was first launched that Melting Pot is still able to attract some of the biggest and best names in the world of disco and house, and this month is no exception, with a special appearance from disco king Ray Mang. Active for over ten years, Mang has had support from a wide range of artists, including Groove Armada, Dimitri From Paris and Andrew Weatherall. He has also worked closely with The Glimmers, releasing singles with them as Dirty Minds and collaborating with them on their recent album. Mang himself is preparing for the release of his first album in six years, which is set to feature guests such as Utter Gutter favourite Miss Lady Kier. Be sure to be in the basement of the Admiral bar for some fresh funky disco.
