Noise of Art returns this month; the travelling festival of electronic music, visuals, and strong links with the Berlin scene, is going underground in Edinburgh. To kick off the evening is the Edinburgh Charity Fashion Show dvd and a revitalised version of Piccadilly, the silent film about clubbing in the 1920s (that's right, they did go clubbing in the early 20th century) by Dupont. Shaved to five minutes by Les Hommes Du Train and overdubbed with electronic music by Ben Osbourne, and extra visuals by Ben Strebel, New Piccadilly Nights will set the tone for the rest of the evening. Dupont also happens to have been a native of Berlin, just like the Get Physical Music label, boasting Booka Shade, M.A.N.D.Y, and one of tonight's headliners, Williams on their roster. When Williams is not being Mylo's bass player, he's producing his own electro and techno - just to continue the linking theme, we should tell you his first track to be released on Get Physical was entitled Piccadilly. Joining him will be Kavinsky, cited as one of the nouveau 'French brat pack' specialising in electro, which includes Justice, Uffie and Busy P. Also starring is Ben Osbourne and Gytobot on the decks, with Ben Strebel on visuals. In the A-Ztech room will be the A-Ztech residents, Siren, Re:Tox, and Al Majik, joined by Nelson. Be sure to check it out - the mini festival has previously appeared at The Tate, ICA, and the De La Warr Pavilion; flattering credentials indeed. [Alex Burden]
