Mylo, Errol Alkan, Death Disco vs. Salt Lick, The Arches, Glasgow, April 15

This versus gig isn't a battle of music, more like an exciting, illicit affair between crowds.

With the whole of the Arches open, this ultimate line-up includes Scots Mylo and his labelmate Linus Loves spinning for Salt Lick and Grand Central's Riton and Erol Alkan, early naughties trendsetter-but-still-cutting-it-fine, up from London to represent Death Disco. For those of you familiar with both clubs there's no denying they're similarly branded as Glasgow's big electro monthlies. But wait - this versus gig isn't a battle of music, more like an exciting illicit affair between crowds. In both the style of music and of the threads of each club's season ticket holders Death Disco is definitely more mash-up, while Salt Lick is that wee bit slicker, but the flirting between them is obvious. Tickets will no doubt already line the customised/exclusive labelled pockets of both sets of fans respectively, so if you're currently a virgin to this scene then get on the case soon.
