Yet another outstanding line up of guests this August at Huntleys & Palmers Audio Club.

Another instalment of Huntleys & Palmers almost inevitably means another eye-catching line-up, and this August is no different.

This time, Frenchman Krikor (aka France Kopland) is welcomed to the decks. A long-time favourite of the night’s promoter, Andrew Thomson, the Parisian’s edit of Q Lazarus’s ‘Goodbye Horses’ on Pilooski’s D.I.R.T.Y. label helped introduce a classic to a new audience. His recent ‘Dead Hillbillies’ album illustrates the man’s true diversity by joining of the dots between Throbbing Gristle, Prince, Nick Cave, rockabilly, new wave and disco.

Released early this year, ‘Zodiac Rising’ by Edinburgh’s Dollskabeat was a synth-heavy workout graced with the singer/producer’s own vocals. Labelled as one of the BBC’s ‘Scottish Artists to Watch’ last year, she’s had airplay on both 6Music and Radio 1 and will be performing with her four-piece band.

Dollskabeat band-member Nick Moore will also be DJing. Recorded under the Linkwood moniker and released on Scottish label Firecracker, his tracks ‘Miles Away’ and ‘Piece Of Mind’ created quite a buzz among house music aficionados, while his recent Resident Advisor mix showed he’s no slouch on the turntables either.
