This month dance legends Layo and Bushwacka! take over Chew The Fat! for a three hour DJ set of techno, jazz, pop, and perhaps even a spot of opera as part of the Sub Club's 20th Birthday celebrations. Famous for their monthly residency at The End, at a night fittingly-monikered All Night Long, the duo spin out eight hours of musical onslaught much to everyone's delight. Keep those ears pricked for snippets of their third acclaimed album, Feels Closer, released last year on the Olmeto label. Joining them will be Fat! Records latest signing, who is by no means an artist fresh on the scene; Unique 3, is a pioneer in underground electronic music, and the reputed inspiration for artists like The Chemical Brothers and LFO. His latest release, The Theme, is out this month, and 18 May will be his debut in Glasgow. His Bleep House creation was used by many as a starting point for house music, and he even found time to help bring UK hip hop to the fore. Unique 3 has a storming electro breaks set lined up for this event. And as ever, faithful resident Bradley C will be providing support on decks. [Struan Otter]
