Justice (LIVE) & Busy P, The Arches, Glasgow, 8 Sept

They're so trendy right now it hurts your little fitted black leather jacket

Since Daft Punk became the template for modern dance music, their national brethren have taken it upon themselves to re-house house in their nation's capital through a staggering contribution to the genre in recent years. Currently riding the crest of Parisian new-wave is Ed Banger records. The label's don, Busy P, rolls into town to open for his scenester darlings Justice, who are currently lapping up praise on the back of their debut LP. For a band which claims to have no idea what's cool (which of course automatically makes them very cool), they're so trendy right now it hurts your little fitted black leather jacket. Their reputation grows around their biblically bombastic live light show that isn't set to change anytime soon. Expect dirty, maximized electro-disco with a hard rock mentality and scuzzy guitar overdrive distortion. More Ed banger support to be confirmed. [Jack McFarlane]
