Riding the wave of a successful summer of Glasgow reggae, which saw not only Toots and the Maytals play the city, the Glasgow based reggae community, Ja Ecosse, is launching its new Dundee fortnightly / regular season night at the City Function Suite. Playing the launch night on 6 Oct is 2tone and Specials legend Jerry Dammers who will be performing a not-to-be missed ska reggae DJ set in an old and new style, with support from Bombskare live and residents Hectorrr, Robigan and MC Ras Ista. The following Saturday is a residents' night, and 19 Oct sees Black Steel play alongside the house residents. DJ Derek (Trojan) takes the reigns on 3 Nov. [Franck Martin]
