Sub Club relaunch weekend (24-26 Jun)

Amid an ongoing 'safe space' debate playing out on social media, this week marks the Sub Club's return to the fold after a three-week closure for a venue refit. It's French producer Agoria, aka Sebastien Devaud, who heads up the relaunch on Friday 24 June, spinning up a heady, eclectic mix of house-leaning fare.

As well as his InFine platform, Devaud (who cites techno heavyweight Kevin Saunderson as a major early-career influence) is also the founder of Nuits Sonores, touted as one of the best European electronic festivals, and has also released inspired remixes of both Moby and Metronomy.

Sub Club veterans Harri & Domenic play on the Saturday (25 Jun) as Part Two of the official relaunch events (with tickets on the door only), and on the Sunday (26 Jun) there's a disco-oriented Part Three party with Harri & Domenic b2b with Scottish Album of the Year nominee The Revenge and further additions TBC.

Isolée @ Berkeley Suite, 26 Jun

The same night, minimalist house producer Rajko Mueller brings a touch of the 90s to The Berkeley Suite under his alias Isolée. The Frankfurt-born Mueller released his first Isolée material on the experimentalist German label Playhouse in 1996, and has gone on to release three full-length recordings. The most recent was 2011's Well Spent Youth, on DJ Koze's Pampa label, and the Isolée track I Like It Here Can I Stay? subsequently features on this year's DJ Koze Presents Pampa Vol. 1. Mueller will be playing live on the night, with support from countryman Dave DK.

West End Fiesta (24-26 Jun)

In addition, the West End Fiesta runs from 24-26 June and boasts a host of legendary acts including Motown sensations Sister Sledge, hip-hop icons De La Soul and 80s crooner Billy Ocean. There's also an impressive lineup of local DJ talent from the likes of jazz advocate Rebecca Vasmant and Max's Bar resident Kev Stevens, to Harri & Domenic and Melting Pot DJ's Al Kent. Located at the open-air Kelvingrove Bandstand, the festival also offers a gourmet street food market, craft beers and cocktails – cross your fingers for sunny skies.
