HIDE. x Uber presents Sidney Charles @ Sub Club, Thu 20 Oct

For a serving of classic 4/4 club sounds, look no further than Hamburg's Sidney Charles, who makes his Sub Club debut this Thursday. Charles topped Resident Advisor’s Top 100 Most Charted Artists list in 2013, and his signature house style is most recently exemplified on September release Sky High. The four-track Truesoul offering has been touted as 'the perfect end of summer EP', a collection of deep grooves and rhythmic percussion primed for the dancefloor. ÜBER's head honcho Ki Creighton also makes his club debut alongside resident Junior G.

Helena Hauff @ Sub Club, Fri 21 Oct

Head back to Subbie on Friday night for another Hamburg alumni, Helena Hauff, and you won't be disappointed. No surprises that this show made it into the week's top picks – her set at La Cheetah back in April saw her melting the decks with a driving, acidic tone that stood in contrast to her pleasant off-stage demeanour (the Golden Pudel alumni could be seen affably posing for selfies with crowd members during Lory D's warm-up set). This time, the producer of last year's machine-heavy Discreet Desires takes centre stage with support from Wrick (Bigfoot's Tea Party).

Kunst is 3 – DJ Overdose @ La Cheetah, Fri 21 Oct

For the past three years Kunst have been dishing out excellent club nights centered around slightly more esoteric fare and left-of-centre talents. Now, as the Kunst team themselves put it, "our incoming birthday marks the beginning of a new Kunst chapter; with an abundance of new avenues and projects to be explored we want to make the next year our finest yet". Firstly though, celebrations are in order, with a party headed up by Dutch artist DJ Overdose. The Rotterdam-based DJ and producer has an understated reputation, but techno, acid and electro fans will be seduced by his robust, restless arrangements. There's also special TBA guest support from Glasgow's music elite.

Groove Armada DJ Set @ SWG3, Sat 5 Nov

Remember, remember the fifth of November! Bonfire Night is just around the corner, and British dance music legends Groove Armada will take to the turntables for a special DJ performance in SWG3’s TV Studio. More used to playing to sell-out festival crowds, this one-off warehouse party will let you get up close to this multi award winning and internationally renowned live act, who have been going strong now for just shy of 20 years. Plus, there will be support tunes courtesy of Theo Kottis.
