You no longer have to wait those extra four weeks to hear Four Corners; the club has now gone monthly, so that you can get twelve times the beats a year! Residents Astroboy, Ketch, Simon Hodge, Bob Cairns and Johnny Cashback will be joined by the rolling roster of live percussionists and musicians that frequent the Bongo's stage. Taking an exciting cue from world music rhythms from the Four Corners of the planet, soul, funk, jazz, hip-hop, afrobeat, brasilia, disco and breaks intermingle in a fusion of the old, new, and just plain exciting. Promoter Chris Knight says: "After two years bi-monthly, Four Corners has moved to a monthly slot at the Bongo, mostly due to the strong following the club has built up among a healthy cross-section of Edinburgh headz – students, old school soul peeps, international community etc... The unique combination of proper old-school soul and jazz nuggets with fresh beats guarantees a musical experience not found anywhere else." [Struan Otter]
