Hullabaloo @ Bongo Club, 23 Jun

There's a riotous mix of funk, soul, hiphop, house and beats at The Bongo Club this week, transforming your Thursday night into an underground party extravaganza. The Hullabaloo roster features resident DJs Trendy Wendy & Steve Austin (Mumbo Jumbo) with Reuben Lowe & Eva Crystal Tips (Coco Loco), and promises to be an excellent pre-weekend option.

A Love From Outer Space @ Mash House, 24 Jun

Iconic producer Andy Weatherall and partner-in-crime Sean Johnston's A Love From Outer Space residency will be a special summer party drawing on the duo’s extensive talents across the sounds of Madchester, British techno, acid house and big beats.

Weatherall is a man who needs little introduction, having carved a solid name for himself in British techno after beginning with Manchester productions in the 90s, whilst Johnston has played at some of London's hallmark clubs and brandishes a multifarious bag of tricks encompassing house, disco, Balearic beats and re-edits.

Tweak @ Cabaret Voltaire, 25 Jun

Tweak's 1st Birthday Party takes place on Saturday, marking one year of the 'great parties with great music, for great people' and also celebrating the annoucement of a biweekly slot residency slot at Cabaret Voltaire. The event sees Simon Bays go back to back with compatriot Kieran Apter, as well as resident Tweak DJs Gareth Sommerville and Izzy Demzky. The discounted £1 'birthday present' tickets have all been snapped up, but advance tickets are still on sale.

In suitable birthday fashion, there'll also be free t-shirts, stickers, pizza, cake, and as Tweak themselves promise, 'unprecedented levels of production and the classiest of house music as we attempt to create the biggest bonanza of a birthday bash Edinburgh has ever seen.'
