FLY with Jasper James @ Cabaret Voltaire, Friday 16 December

If his mammoth shows during his former residency at London club Phonox are anything to go by, expect a huge night ahead when new FLY resident Jasper James takes control of Cab Vol this Friday. It tops off another big year for the Glasgow talent, who also scored the #69 spot in Resident Advisor's Top DJs of 2016 poll (£10+bf).

Lezure 016: Pangaea (Hessle Audio/Halal) @ The Mash House, Saturday 17 December

On Saturday, The Mash House welcomes one third of the mighty Hessle Trio, Pangaea. Co-founder Kevin McAuley is touring in support of his October release In Drum Play, a sprightly, ecstatic foray through techno and bass (£8+bf).

Nightvision presents Musika with Kolsch & Richy Ahmed @ The Liquid Room, Saturday 17 December

This massive Musika date on the Nightvision calendar brings together Danish heavyweight Kolsch and Hot Creation's/Jamie Jones' wing man Richy Ahmed, who both make their first ever Musika/Nightvision appearances. Local hero Theo Kottis returns too after an epic year that included a recent USA tour with deep house imprint Anjunadeep. The huge bill also features Citizenn, Jamie Roy, Alan Dobson, Jamie McKenzie and Simon Bays - there's a 5am licence in place, too (£22.50+bf).
