Pressure provide another list of must-see DJs as they set out their stall for 2007

Article by Sean McNamara | 11 Jan 2007
Slam has gone from strength to strength in the last year and continue to do so with another amazing line up of top DJing talent for their monthly shindig at the Arches. Headlining this month is the iconic Dave Clarke. Clarke has always avoided becoming part of the DJ establishment and is not the kind of DJ who you will see crowd surfing. What you will get, however, is a superb techno mash up from one of the masters. Clarke has been playing since 1998 and his music sounds as fresh as ever.

Also appearing is Robert Hood, who will be doing a live set. As a founder member of the Underground Resistance record label he is a highly respected DJ and producer. His sound is Detroit techno with an element of soul and plenty of experimentation. Another top name on the list is Tom Middleton who is a Pressure favourite. Middleton will bring more house to the proceedings and is sure to be a popular choice. A classically trained pianist and cellist, Middleton provides a sound infused with synths and samples. Completing the line-up is the excellent and local Silicone Soul, Parisian eclectic electronica king Ivan Smagghe and the legendary Andy Weatherhall. Another night that is sure to have the packed-in crowd rushing from arch to arch in the hope of catching everything they want to see! [Sean McNamara]
