As always, we recommend you start your weekend's activities with a session at Eastern Bloc Records on Stevenson Square. On Friday they've got a pre-party ahead of the P.E.A.R.L night with Blasha & Allatt (Meat Free), Oi Jackson and Adapt DJs, and on Saturday they've got a residents' party with Means&3rd, Kerrie, Mark Turner and Fraiser. Both run 6-11pm.

Santander-born Cantabrian producer, deemed one of the best young techno exports from the Spanish peninsula, comes to Soup. From 11pm, £8

Percolate's 4th birthday @ Hidden, 19 Nov

According to those ambitious bods at Percolate, "the only thing better than a Jeremy Underground set is a Jeremy Underground all-night-long set" – so they've roped in the rare-house adventurer to play for seven full hours at their fourth birthday party. From 10pm, £20

Magic Waves @ The White Hotel, 19 Nov 

Contort Yourself label boss Murray CY pops down from Glasgae to lead proceedings at Salford's White Hotel, hopefully airing his recent release on Ron Morelli's L.I.E.S. label and ably supported by Manc favourite Pete Mangalore, JaX DaX and the Magic Waves DJs. From 11pm, £8 

Cottonopolis's 1st Birthday ft. Mr Scruff @ Cottonopolis, 24 Nov 

Northern Quarter sushi, sake and social hotspot Cottonopolis celebrates its first birthday, going all-out by enlisting Manc stalwart and beloved beat-provider Mr Scruff, who'll be manning the decks with his celebrated upbeat skills. Complimentary drinks and canapés will also be doing the rounds – for free if you reserve your spot on the guestlist here. From 8pm, free

Banana Hill with Brotherhood Sound System and Cervo @ Soup Kitchen, 24 Nov 

Global sound importers Banana Hill say goodbye to 2016 with a Christmas gift for you all: a free party, god bless them. They've got George from Leeds' Brotherhood Sound System over, Taurtollo and of course, the Hill's own Cervo on the decks. To get in free, grab a guestlist ticket here or add your name to the Facebook event wall. Funniest fake name on the Facebook wall wins a free drink, party hat, a mince pie and a firm handshake. From 11pm, free before midnight, £4 after
