As ever, we recommend you start your weekend's music activities with a session at Eastern Bloc records on Stevenson Square. The shop is now open late every Thursday until 9pm so you can bag some new vinyl for your listless Saturday/Sunday morning, and then on Friday from 6pm they've got an album launch for Neko Neko.

Eastern Bloc mainstay Si Tonk is on the decks on Saturday, also from 6pm. All free, whoop whoop. 

Generic Greeting Collective's 6th birthday @ Soup Kitchen, 10 Nov

Art collective Generic Greeting celebrate their birthday with Joey B (Swing Ting), Neana (Gang Fatale), Yeshe, Texaco (No White Tees) and their very own Szajna and Big Peace. There's free drinks for early birds and even goody bags filled with arty treats if you get down quick enough. From 8pm, free 

Fabriclive x WHP @ Store Street, The Warehouse Project, 11 Nov 

Danny Brown and Wiley head a massive line-up to celebrate and raise funds for London club Fabric, fighting the revocation of its license. Benji B, Oneman and Preditah are also on the bill, with DJ Hype recently added. All proceeds from ticket sales will be going towads the #savefabric fund. From 9.30pm, £29.50

Global Roots Soundsystem @ Soup Kitchen, 11 Nov 

Those lovely Banana Hill lads celebrate the one-year anniversary of their residency with Boiler Room founder Thris Tian. Expect globetrotting sounds, deep-digging funk and juicy house. From 11pm, £7-£10

Kassem Mosse + Andrew Lyster + Howes @ Soup Kitchen, 12 Nov 

Soup Kitchen welcomes hard-hitting German DJ and producer Kassem Mosse, AKA Gunnar Wendel. From 11pm, £5 

Hidden x So Flute presents Nightmares on Wax, Mr Bongo & more @ Hidden, 12 Nov 

Why not keep the nightmares coming with this biggie at Hidden, headlined by Nightmares on Wax with the mad skills of Alexender Nut, Mr Bongo Soundsystem, Manchester's own Annabel Fraser and resident DJs in support. From 10pm, £16-£18

Percolate's 4th birthday @ Hidden, 19 Nov

According to those ambitious bods at Percolate, "the only thing better than a Jeremy Underground set is a Jeremy Underground all night long set" – so they've roped in the rare-house adventurer to play for seven full hours at their fourth birthday party. As you do. (They're onto third release tickets, so get a move on.) From 10pm, £17.50/£20
