Treehouse presents Mumdance & Madam X
The Old Red Bus Station, 29 Sep, 10pm, £10 

Brighton's master of raw, stripped-back production and experimental grime, Mumdance is joined by Manchester's champion of emerging talent to kick off the autumn term and showcase the Bus Station to new students in style. Support comes from Iglew, Phrixus and more.

Acetate #21 with Resom and Pearson Sound
Wire, 30 Sep, 11pm, £8 

Resident at Berlin's About Blank night club, Resom flies in for her Acetate debut flanked by the man of every moment, Pearson Sound. 

BLAK. launch with Robert Dietz and Adam Shelton
Freedom Mills, 1 Oct, 10pm, £11-£17

A new night for Leeds, BLAK. sets out to offer 'a new dynamic approach to the music and art scene of Leeds', taking influence (and showcasing DJs and producers) from across the European techno underground. They start as they mean to go on with Truth Be Told label owner Dietz and One Records' Shelton, plus support from Kepler and residents.

Back to Basics: The Resurrection with Damian Lazarus
Church, 8 Oct, 10pm, £12 

Leeds' legendary club night Back to Basics opens its very own venue this autumn, marking the club's 25th anniversary this year. Situated in St David's Church, Woodhouse Lane, Church is both a club and a music academy and gets a good ol' christening from DJ and sorcerer Damian Lazarus next Saturday. Tickets are selling fast for what should be a momentous event, so grab yours quickly. 

Butter Side Up 6th birthday
Wire, 14 Oct, 11pm, £11

Leeds crew Butter Side Up celebrate their sixth year in the game this autumn, and to help raise a glass (and the roof) they've brought in Swiss DJ Sonja Moonear. Fresh off the back of a string of dates in Ibiza, no doubt Moonear's intense yet playful upper-register techno will be chiselled to precision.

Red Bull Music Academy tour: Leeds
Various venues, 27-30 Oct

The Red Bull Music Academy UK tour comes to Leeds for the first time this year. Highlights include grime legend Kano sitting down with music journalist Hattie Collins to discuss the scene’s relationship with documentation and photography; Collins' new exhibition, An Eye on Grime, which celebrates the diverse range of photographers and filmmakers who’ve followed the scene since its inception; a techno takeover at Wire featuring Berghain resident Marcel Dettmann; and DJ Harvey appearing in Leeds for the first time in 25 years. Find out more here.
