Butter Side Up 6th birthday
Wire, 14 Oct, 11pm, £9

Leeds crew Butter Side Up celebrate their sixth year in the game this autumn, and to help raise a glass (and the roof) they've brought in Swiss DJ Sonja Moonear. Fresh off the back of a string of dates in Ibiza, no doubt Moonear's intense yet playful upper-register techno will be chiselled to precision.

Red Bull Music Academy tour: Leeds
Various venues, 27-30 Oct

The Red Bull Music Academy UK tour comes to Leeds for the first time this year. Highlights include grime legend Kano sitting down with music journalist Hattie Collins to discuss the scene’s relationship with documentation and photography; Collins' new exhibition, An Eye on Grime, which celebrates the diverse range of photographers and filmmakers who’ve followed the scene since its inception; a techno takeover at Wire featuring Berghain resident Marcel Dettmann; and DJ Harvey appearing in Leeds for the first time in 25 years.
