Go along on any Wednesday and WAE is a good bet for some electrotech antics; go on their guest nights, and you're guaranteed a night to remember.

What makes a good weeknight club? Is it cheap drinks, cheap door prices? Good residents? A friendly vibe, and up-for-it clientele? WAE has all these things going for it and more - namely their recent trend of booking some of the biggest and most innovative spinners on the scene to reward their regular punters. Go along on any Wednesday and WAE is a good bet for some electrotech antics; go on their guest nights, and you're guaranteed a night to remember. Following on from the storming success of their Felix Da Housecat gig, WAE punters can look forward to giving Get Physical founders Booka Shade (AKA Walter Merziger and Arno Kammermeier) as rapturous a welcome as their sometime collaborator M.A.N.D.Y. - who brought their own brand of disco-filtered techno to Cabaret Voltaire in March. Booka Shade offer a deeper, more melancholic take on the Get Physical sound; their debut album 'Memento' offered edgy trance riffs, dark, velveteen house and Moroder melodies, while follow-up 'Movements,' due out in April, is said to cover some more downbeat styles and tempos. WAE fans can expect a wide-ranging set, with a deep, textured atmosphere on the dancefloor, and hopefully a few Booka Shade classics like Mandarine and Body Language thrown into the mix. As always residents Gary Mac and Flix will be on hand with a fine brew of electro, techno and sleazy house, at the usual bargain prices. Book Thursday off work now!
