1. iTAL tEK - Tokyo Freeze (Planet Mu)
Taking dubstep in more of a 4/4 direction: this is a beautifully sinister track combining pianos, glitchy beats and distorted bass. Simply a must-have killer debut!

2. Rustie - Jagz The Smack (Stuff Records)
Hefty production on this EP - it's rightly receiving praise from all corners. Swaggerin' with attitude between dubstep, electro and hip-hop, Rustie is on fire here.

3. Cloaks - Hi Tek Buzz (Werk)
The most distorted, insane dubstep I've heard this year. The first kick slams into you and the smouldering bass will rattle your soul.

4. 2562 - Channel Two (Tectonic)
Coming out of Holland with some of the freshest dubstep this year - some sweet vibes on this lovely rolling track.

5. Gravious - Subterfuge (forthcoming Hotflush)
Well-produced stomper here. Nicely created track with warm bass stabs and rolling bongos.

6. Starkey - Pins (Dead Homies)
A dubstep / electro grinder: clear, crisp thumper that'll get people moving.

7. Appleblim - Vansan (Skull Disco)
Vast electronic stepper I just can't stop listening to. This buzzes with energy and never lets up.

8. Martyn - Broken (Revolver)
Sounds like jungle that never breaks. Towering basslines and a rolling sense of anticipation make this a solid release.

9. DJ Hidden - Scry (Ad Noiseam)
This is necessary evil. Awesome dark drum and bass that would make your gran cry.

10. Komonasmuk & White Boi - The Apocalypse (Combat)
The thundering bass and crashing snares rattle you here. Dark dubstep at its best.
