Mariah Carey wants to be “12 years old”
Mariah Carey wants to be “eternally 12 years old”.
The 40-year-old pop star “can’t let go” of her pre-teen years, and so has decided to act that age forever. Although she admits “occasionally” enjoying a glass of wine, she otherwise acts just like a young girl.
“You just have to pick an age, your favourite age, and that’s how you stay,” she explained. “Like I have been eternally 12 for a long time because I can’t grow up. I can’t let go of it.
“But, I mean, I also like a splash of wine every now and then.”
Mariah thinks her obsession with her childhood is due to the “bad stuff” that happened to her when she was younger. She claims has been frozen in a frame of mind that adores baby animals, pink thinks and theme parks.
“A lot bad stuff happened when I was 12,” she explained to Britain’s Heart radio station. “I don’t know. I just feel like I love amusement parks and puppies. Things like that. I haven’t grown out of that stuff yet.”
