Fall Out Boy haven't broken up...

Pete Wentz has blasted rumours Fall Out Boy have split up.

The rocker dismissed claims he has "taken a break" from the group because his marriage to Ashlee Simpson-Wentz has made him too famous. It had been reported the 30-year-old star was on an "indefinite hiatus" from the band.

Pete poked fun at the rumours in a post on his Twitter account which read: "This just in! We're breaking up. a cookie to share with each other. Must get to a computer in time to fact check this tweet."

When hundreds of fans sent him anguished messages asking if the split reports were true, Pete wrote: "Yeah, a unicorn fact-checked them. Ash loves Fall Out Boy!"

The musician then admitted he was taking a break from one thing - starting fires.

"I am going on an indefinite hiatus with setting things on fire," he joked. "Arson is a bad thing. Don't forsee me starting a fire anytime soon (sic)."

  • no way. there is no way in hell that they will break up. u have stood by them though and through and they are amazing and a world without them is a world not worth living in, for me.... dont leave us boys...
