Departure Lounge @ The Caves, 29 May

Hip-hop addicts be prepared, a true master of the genre is coming to town. Departure Lounge, the bi-monthly celebration of global music, is proud to welcome Grammy award-winning sensation DJ Vadim. This will be his first Scottish performance in over two years so chances are it is going to be spectacular.

Andrey Gurov a.k.a. DJ Vadim has been pushing the boundaries of international hip hop for over 15 years by incorporating his love of electronica and soul into his work. The Russian born DJ’s appearance will coincide with the release of his latest album U Can’t Lurn Imaginashun. He will be accompanied on stage by MC Pugs Atomz and sultry vocalist Sabirajade.

The generosity of Departure Lounge doesn’t end there as, DJ B-Burg will be warming up the crowd with some smooth scratches. Residents Astroboy, Jiminez and Mr. Zimbabwe will explore everything from jazz to break beat. Beat junkies, your wishes have been granted.
