Bloc Party in Imminent Album Release Shocker

In the wiki-torrent age of infinite information updates, it's always nice when a record (or two) appears like a curveball and manages to announce itself seemingly out of the blue.

First Los Campesinos! unveiled plans for an impending second album mere months after their debut, and now Bloc Party have casually revealed that their third full-length, Intimacy, will be on its way to fans’ hard drives later this very week.

The physical release still isn’t due until the 27th of October, but eager-beavers who pre-order from the band’s website will get the download gratis, giving Hydro Connect-goers a week or so to brush up on the new songs (which had best not sound anything like this) before the band headline the festival on the 30th.
