Amy Winehouse was taken to an undisclosed London hospital yesterday, after she fainted while at home. Although she quickly regained consciousness, she's being kept in hospital overnight as doctors run tests to get to the bottom of her collapse.

Factors generally known to influence fainting include too little food, emotional stress and lack of sleep – none of which are thought to apply to Winehouse, who is of course the picture of health and serenity.

The news comes 6 months after Amy's mother, Janis, scarily predicted her daughter would be dead within a year. Winehouse is no stranger to the matron, having been rushed to the ward last August due to what was described as a 'drugs collapse' and spending time on a drip whilst in hospital in February of this year.

Also on a Winehouse tip, reports have emerged this week of the songstress playing a private show in a Moscow art gallery for Chelsea FC owner Roman Abramovich. Never a dull moment, eh?
