Universe at War: Earth Assault(Petroglyph/Sega)

Given a little time this could be a game you grow to love

Game Review by Graeme Strachan | 01 Apr 2008
Aliens are invading. Yes, again. But this time there are three separate races all vying for control of our little rock in space. It's this choice of factions that Earth Assault uses to try and set itself apart from other RTS games, and it works, to a point. The three races are all different enough to add some enjoyment to the melee, but the way the single player story goes means most folk will either give up or jump straight into multiplayer. Which isn't a bad idea as that's where the fun really starts.
Dominate the globe a country at a time or take on some mates over the net in a single battle, either is more fun than the story campaign. Given a little time this could be a game you grow to love, as Petroglyph have obviously poured some real care and attention into the mechanics.[Graeme Strachan]
