Opening tomorrow, group exhibition Follow at FACT in Liverpool features a new work by LaBeouf, Rönkkö & Turner.

From Friday 11 December, Shia LaBeouf, Nastja Säde Rönkkö and Luke Turner will present a new commission, #TOUCHMYSOUL, as part of Follow, which brings together a number of new commissions and existing works that explore life lived online.

Asking 'how we can truly connect with another person across the networks, what this feels like, and how we can be moved by such an encounter?', #TOUCHMYSOUL will see LaBeouf, Rönkkö & Turner answering phone calls and inviting callers to 'touch their soul'. The performance, commissioned by FACT specifically for Follow, aims to bring networked connections into focus, and 'capture what happens in a lasting, indelible way.'

Ideas of identity, sharing, and celebrity within the context of a life lived online are at the heart of this group exhibition, which also features new specially commissioned work from Cécile B. Evans, Ant Hamlyn and Joe Orr, among others.

Artist Candice Jacobs has worked on the exhibition environment, and artist and JACK댄스 label/party founder Simon Whybray has developed the exhibition's visual identity.

#TOUCHMYSOUL is LaBeouf, Rönkkö & Turner's most recent project after last month's headline-grabbing #ALLMYMOVIES, in which members of the public were invited to join Shia LaBeouf in a cinema in New York as he watched all of the movies in which he has appeared, in reverse chronological order, over the course of three days. The 72-hour stint attracted 12-hour queues of hopeful participants outside the Angelika Film Center, and was broadcast live around the world via the online art platform New Hive.

Previous projects include the trio hiring skywriting planes to emblazon the LA skyline with the message #STARTCREATING; #FOLLOWMYHEART, in which the public could listen to LaBeouf's heart in real time as he attended the SXSW festival; #METAMARATHON, which saw LaBeouf do 144 laps of Amsterdam's Stedelijk Museum; and project #IAMSORRY, in which LaBeouf met members of the public one by one in an LA gallery over five days while remaining completely silent.

If you would like to participate in #TOUCHMYSOUL you can respond to LaBeouf, Rönkkö & Turner's invitation by calling +44 (0)151 808 0771 between the hours of 11am-6pm GMT, until Monday 14 December. Calls will be charged at your standard rate.

You can view a livestream of the performance at touchmysoul.net.
