Memo Akten, Alec Empire added to FutureEverything 2015 lineup

More details on the lineup for this year’s FutureEverything digital culture festival have been revealed, ahead of the 20th anniversary edition next month.

The world premiere of new work by Turkish digital artist Memo Akten has been unveiled as one half of the festival’s opening gala, alongside the UK debut of The Well by Koreless & Emmanuel Biard.

Elsewhere, Atari Teenage Riot frontman Alec Empire will perform his 1995 LP Low on Ice in full with new visuals by video artist Zan Lyons, techno collective Meandyou host a two-floor takeover at Soup Kitchen, and Dream Catalogue host a series of free vaporwave events at the Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM).


Win passes to FutureEverything 2015!


The new batch of artists join the already confirmed Ariel Pink, Warren Ellis and Olafur Arnalds of Kiasmos fame on the bill. This year also sees the festival’s inaugural film strand, exploring the theme of ‘Sounds and Signals from the New Normal’, as well as the world premiere of interactive theatre piece Too Much Information by art collective Blast Theory.
