neo:gallery27 in Bolton announced its open call exhibition prize in March this year and submissions are invited until 18 May.

Now in its third year, the neo:artprize provides a showcase for visual artists and prizes that include £1500 and the opportunity to be considered for the 12-week neo:residency supported by University of Bolton, GreatArt and neo:.

The prize for artwork in any media is biennial, with the gallery staging a print prize every other year. 2013's winner was Rosie Farrell with her work Infinite Playback (Remixed), a sound installation and spoken word performance.

Another plus point for this competition is the opportunity to have your work viewed by some high profile curators and artists. This year’s panel is made up of artist Ian Davenport, Serpentine exhibitions curator Amira Gad, director of the South London Gallery Margot Heller OBE and Helen Pheby, senior curator of Yorkshire Sculpture Park.
