The Slaughter House is the oldest pub in Liverpool and is nowadays home to regular live music and comedy nights. You'll find The Laughterhouse comedy club in the basement here every weekend, and its underground location provides the perfect setting for stand-up comedy. Some of comedy's biggest names have graced the stage here since the comedy nights started in 2004, including John Bishop, Sarah Millican, Dara O’Briain, Alan Carr and Jason Manford.
Tickets are £15 on Fridays and £17.50 on Saturdays (Christmas shows may be a bit more expensive) and can be booked online, on the door or over the phone. Call The Laughterhouse's booking hotline on 0800 177 7575 to book your tickets and check out our event listings to find out what's on at The Slaughterhouse in the coming weeks. Shows do sell out so it's recommended to book your ticket in advance.
Drinks prices will be fairly reasonable during your night out at The Slaughter House — pints start from £3.30, shots start from £1 and mixers range from £2.60 to £3.60. If you're planning on eating out before the show, you can take advantage of a comedy meal deal at the Oliver Restaurant & Bar or Piccolino for an additional £13 - £16 per head. Call 0800 177 7575 for more details.
