It's a rock musical!

The enigmatic Long Island brothers Brian and Michael D'addario have truly hit the gas with this one – Go To School is musically outstanding and lyrically captivating, projecting you into a story-enriched 70s paradise. It's sincere and ridiculously entertaining, providing everything that modern-day rock has to offer.

Opener Never In My Arms, Always In My Heart is a sultry and cascading landscape built on love, coolness and spirit. The Keith Moon-esque percussion, seamless lead vocal and poignant backing vocals create a sense of hallucination, whilst holding undeniable authenticity. The Student Becomes the Teacher and Rock Dreams (don’t let the corny track names nauseate you) guide you into an unforgettable daydream – brilliantly placed Q&A vocals, alongside gorgeous choruses. Brilliantly written and insightful.

Queen of My School encapsulates everything great about The Lemon Twigs – such a triumphant piece of songwriting from the rich guitars, Beach Boys-style vocal melodies and sharp phrasing. It's instantly invigorating and packed with tone. Born Wrong/Heart Song and Home of a Heart (The Woods) are whimsical ballads, full of sincere honesty and fortified class – suitably apt for such a well-rounded and talented band.

Featuring contributions from Jody Stephens (Big Star) and Brian and Michael's father Ronnie D’Addario, Go To School is a true beauty and a classic in its own right.
