Festival Watch: Sónar Barcelona, FARR Festival, Liverpool Sound City
Sónar Barcelona (12-14 Jun) have announced a raft of new additions, joining the likes of Massive Attack and Richie Hawtin will be Flux Pavilion, Rudimental, Yelle, Tiga, Ben Frost, Machinedrum, Laurel Halo, Visionist, and Recondite, among others. Details and tickets here.
Closer to home, the Farr Festival (18-20 July), a boutique affair hosted in some woodlands near London, have announced their lineup for 2014 - headliners include Hercules & Love Affair, Mount Kimbie, Scuba, Andrew Weatherall, Daniel Avery, Gentleman's Dub Club and Marcus Intalex. Liverpool Sound City (1-3 May), an in-the-city showcase taking place once a year in the heart of the city, has announced the first details of its 2014 lineup - they will welcome Fuck Buttons, Kodaline, Gruff Rhys, and Clean Bandit, alongside keynote speakers John Cale and Thurston Moore.
