Beatin' Rhythm

The coolest record shop in town. Head on down to Beatin' Rhythm if you're in need of some crackin' ‘60s music vibes. There are records of all kinds; ranging from rock ‘n’ roll to Motown, doo-wop to psych, and plenty of Northern soul rarities for those avid collectors. Located slightly away from Manchester’s Vinyl Valley, it recently moved from its previous home up to the top end of Tib Street. The shop’s knowledgeable staff show a true passion for the music they sell, giving insightful help and recommendations to customers who may have only just started to discover the world of soul music. As well as having shelves practically sagging with records, Beatin’ Rhythm also stocks compilation CDs and box sets, and you can also find a selection of books on the history of soul music, and merchandise including record boxes, t-shirts and patches.
