Sandbar

Sandbar is an independent bar in Manchester city centre. Not far from Manchester Metropolitan University, it's a popular haunt amongst students and academics and offers good food, speciality beers and a cosy, intimate atmosphere.

Food is served from midday until 9pm and the handmade stonebaked pizza is truly the speciality here. However, you'll also find a wide selection of popular pub classics on offer including club sandwiches and beef burgers. And for the vegetarians in the group, tasty veggie options include roasted vegetable lasagne, wild mushroom gnocchi and spinach and goats cheese ricotto. 

A variety of events take place here throughout the week from live music and comedy to art exhibitions. The pub quiz at Sandbar takes place every Sunday from 8.30pm and is just £1 to enter. The prize is pretty decent too with a £30 bar tab for the winner and a £15 bar tab for second place.
