The Scottish and Irish stereotypically share a number of common interests, namely drinking, singing, drinking, sports and drinking.

Following the closure of Failte, a popular Irish pub also based on St Vincent St, Saint Vincent's has proven a welcome addition to the city centre. Though there are a number of Irish Pubs and bars scattered across Glasgow, Saint Vincent's offers a Stateside twist. Its image is unique and alludes to Boston, Massachusetts, where people of Irish descent make up 15% of the population, the largest single ethnic group of the city.

Hearty pub grub is available, from traditional Irish Stew and Irish Ale Battered Fish and Chips to a Boston Chilli Cheese Dog or Buffalo Wings. Home comforts or an all American scran, there's bound to be something to line your stomach before the inevitable onslaught of Guinness, which Saint Vincent's claims to punt at the lowest price in town.

Though Glasgow is a city full of Celtic fans, or 'The Hoops' as some may say, Saint Vincent's shows matches played by Celtic and also by the Boston Celtics, a basketball team, so there's a little variety for the sports fans as well as a 'Pound a Pot' deal where it's only a pound for a pot of Mac 'n' Cheese or Chilli during a match.

Live music is also a regular feature in Saint Vincent's, with local buskers and bands.
