Drury Street Bar & Kitchen

Drury Street Bar & Kitchen in Glasgow's city centre is the latest incarnation of the Steampunk Cafe. It has retained the atmospheric, old-fashioned decor of the former bar – think polished redwood walls, leather sofas and glitzy chandeliers – making it a pleasant place to unwind with a couple of drinks of an evening.

The drinks focus has shifted to craft beers, with an interesting selection on tap and regular brewery events to look forward to. The food menu is good value, and there's even a dedicated vegetarian section of the menu, with offerings more interesting than the standard veggie option of mac 'n' cheese (although they serve that, too!). Think nachos, corn on the cob and veggie haggis fritters in a whisky sauce - it really is the dream.

The Drury prides itself on a pretty diverse events programme, including dance classes on Tuesdays, acting classes on Wednesdays, post-work partying on Fridays and regular resident DJ nights. Check out their website for more information.
