Formerly known as the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama the Royal Conservatoire is Scotland’s national centre for professional vocational training in performance arts. Specialising in the five disciplines of dance, drama, music, production and screen the Conservatoire prides itself on providing students with a blend of tuition, performance and experience working with professional counterparts in industry. The Conservatoire offers undergraduate and postgraduate degrees as well as a variety of short courses for children, young people, adults and art professionals. Following a 8.5million pound investment into the development of facilities they now boast three recording studios, six professional performance venues, four  bespoke dance studios and new studios for technical, design, set building and costume design. The rigorous performance schedule across all disciplines ensures a busy programme of student productions including theatre, music and dance as well as performances from touring artists and companies.
