Whether they're setting up shop in the beer gardens of your favourite Edinburgh pubs, nourishing the local student community or drawing in the city centre passers-by, Land of Bourbon are gaining some serious street cred as the place to grab some beach shack snacks on the go.

Land of Bourbon is a business with humble origins, initially starting out as an enterprise between a group of pals who shared two loves; travel and cooking. Thankfully, the two go rather well.

Since 2017, they made a permanent home for themselves in one of the capital's iconic police boxes. Their location on St Patrick Square could hardly be better, with a natural influx of nearby university staff and students, but also a healthy competition of neighbouring world food eateries. Their premises may be small, but with flavours as big as this, Land of Bourbon can more than hold their own in the ring.

The Bourbon crew specialise in serving up strong coffee and Afro-Caribbean food. This means that spicy vegetable curries sit alongside African Beqan chillis. It means that you can have your fries in okra or sweet potato form. It means you can have your jerk marinated vegetable wrap or winter veg salad come rain or come shine.

Everything you see on the menu is vegan and homemade with lashings of love, so it'll have you feeling good from the mind to the belly.
