Hendersons Vegan Restaurant

Established way back in 1962, and standing firm where other vegetarian restaurants have come and gone, Hendersons has established itself as somewhat of an Edinburgh institution.

Formerly Hendersons Bistro, this location on Thistle Street went 100% vegan in July 2015, making it the first of its kind in Edinburgh. Everything served in the restaurant is completely vegan, including all of the wine, beers, cakes and fair trade coffees and all the dishes are made with the freshest of ingredients, organic where possible, with daily-changing specials using seasonal vegetables.

This year, the results were clear: Edinburgh loves Hendersons. It came up tops in the Best Vegetarian and Vegan category in our 2018 Food and Drink Survey, along with newbies Harmonium and Glasgow faves Mono and Ranjit's Kitchen. We're talking serious calibre here.
