Custom Lane

Conceived by Scottish design studio GRAS, Custom Lane is an Edinburgh-based centre for design and making. The key to their success lies in their two ambitions – to support world-class design in Scotland and to encourage collaboration amongst artists and designers across the board.

Based in the beating heart of Leith, the lower level of Custom Lane offers a cafe, shop, gallery, event space and workshop, while the upper level is a dedicated space for artists to hire out and produce work to their hearts' content. Their in-house-curated core programme of events and exhibitions showcases both Scottish and international design from a range of specialisms, while their partner programme offers individuals and organisations the opportunity to work together with the centre to promote their business and develop their future potential.

With regular happenings and a slick modern interior, Custom Lane is a welcome addition to Edinburgh's creative sector and to the ever-buzzing Shore.
