The Gardyne Theatre

Located in the Gardyne campus of Dundee and Angus College, The Gardyne Theatre is a solid option for those seeking a little live performance in the form of drama, dance, comedy, live music and musical theatre of an eve. There's plenty of parking, and the bar offers an opportunity to ignite the imagination via a glass of pre-theatre Pinot.

It's a classic proscenium style auditorium, with comfy seats raked steeply enough to quell any sightline frets. What's more, those looking to host a little entertainment of their own can hire both the main theatre and The Atrium, which is a more intimate venue well suited to cosier performances.

If you're still not impressed, it's worth mentioning their state of the art recording studio, which is handily linked to the main theatre meaning that up to 40 performers can assemble on stage and record some sweet, sweet choral melodies. The hybrid audio/visual kit is capable of all sorts of mastery, meaning that along with live recording, the studio can facilitate music production, post production for TV, animation and film, broadcast and mastering. You can even live stream an event through their multi-camera system, which is handy to say the least.
