Riyo Nemeth's abstract take on 'Street Corp' by Actress

The new album from Darren Cunningham, aka Werkdiscs label boss Actress, is nothing short of divisive – our own reviewer found Ghettoville somewhat claustrophobic and sparse, while others have celebrated its convention-defying, apocalyptic and minimalist deconstruction of bass music, techno and hip-hop. One thing's certain – it's not an album that leaves listeners indifferent.

Now, Actress presents two clips for tracks from the album. The first, Street Corp, is directed by abstract visual experimentalist Riyo Nemeth, features obscured and occluded found objects and prosaic scenes, underpinning the harsh static and washed-out electronic tones of the track.

The second clip, directed by Nic Hamilton, features sparse, wire-framed structures, combining time-lapse and computer animation to achieve a colourful, light-suffused, glitching journey which exhoes the skeletal nature of some of the tracks on Ghettoville. It's streaming exclusively over at XLR8R
