The brianchild of one George McFall, CGIV have been relatively quiet since the 2011 release of their debut album (the enthrallingly diverse God Save The Clean). Here he returns with new single Repetition, described by McFall as a slice of "neo-classical/street/psych/pop", ahead of second album Vardon House – set for release through his own Tenement Records in autumn 2016.

Initially appearing in 2007 as a collaborative project known as Clean George IV, McFall has since amended the name and stripped proceedings down to a one-man project, having also released the singles Change, Autumn and Remorse over the last few years. In our 2011 review, The Skinny described God Save The Clean as "bulging with ideas and slapping genres with glee... a record that is both stupidly fun whilst being subtly intelligent" – watch the video for Repetition in the player above to see how his sound has progressed since then.
