The Pleasance Sessions: The Phantom Band – 'Crocodile'

Watch The Phantom Band perform ‘Crocodile’, recorded live at The Pleasance Sessions in Edinburgh in association with EUSA.

Video | 11 Dec 2014

In our third video from this year’s Pleasance Sessions, shape-shifting Glasgow sextet The Phantom Band perform their classic, slow-burning instrumental track 'Crocodile' to close the festival.

The band have enjoyed a packed twelve months – they released third album Strange Friend in June, and the LP came in at number nine in our music team’s albums of the year list. The Phantoms announced last month that their fourth, titled Fears Trending, will be out on 26 Jan via Chemikal Underground, while keyboard player Andy Wake and guitarist Duncan Marquiss will team up with members of Mogwai and Faust for a one-off krautrock show in Glasgow on 10 Jan. They cap off the year with a gig at Glasgow's Arches this Friday (12 December), featuring support from John Knox Sex Club.

Videography by Richard Ferguson.
