Music Video Premiere: The Skull Defekts – The Known Unknown

We proudly present the UK premiere for the video to The Known Unknown by Swedish art-rock ensemble The Skull Defekts, taken from their latest album Dances in Dreams of the Known Unknown, their third as a five-piece, which was released last week. 

Although the band have moved away from the pure noise of their early recordings to a more lean, focused, experimental rock sound, they still retain the questing, avant garde approach and psychedelic bursts that mark them out as one of Sweden's most creative and fearless groups. They will tour Europe later in the year.

In the video for The Known Unknown, director and editor Joe DeNardo uses mixed imagery from American football, naval battle footage and a science tape exploring 'The Mind' to create the visuals to accompany the track. "I tried to play off the lyrics a bit to visually approximate an idea of TOTAL CONFUSION," says DeNardo, "though not without some playfulness..."
