Willy Wallace Hostel

77 Murray Place | Stirling FK8 1AU

The Willy Wallace is a cheap and cheerful hostel, popular with backpackers and tourists who are eager to see all the sites where Mel Gibson stood up for Scotland (or something). Situated conveniently in Stirling town centre and a stone’s throw away from bus and train stations, the hostel inhabits a converted townhouse with bright, colourful decor.

They'll also be happy to share with you their abundant knowledge of local tours and attrations if you're after a good glug of the Scottish tourism scene. Groups with special requirements who would like a specially prepared itinerary are encouraged to get in touch in advance, and can look forward to a tailor-made weekend of anything from hen night activities to extreme sports.

It might also be worth a mention that the hostel is entirely curfew free, allowing you to while away a night on the bonny streets of Edinburgh for as long as you please. The hostel’s facilities include wireless internet, computer, books, fully equipped kitchen, private shower and a dining/TV room. Needless to say, a copy of Braveheart is available on request at reception.
