The White Horse

Down at Canongate, you'll find the lovely White Horse. The pub underwent renovation a couple of years ago and is consequently cosy but modern in equal measures. It's got a bistro vibe to it, and serves a paired down menu of hot comfort food like macaroni cheese and stew. 

Attempting to tap into just about all the target Royal Mile markets, this pub keeps everyone cheerful. You can grab a craft beer if you must, or just a regular old beer if you're easily pleased. There's also a wide range of spirits, and a decent wine slection too.

This venue opens its doors as an Edinburgh Fringe comedy venue with Laughing Horse during August.
