Manchester Arena

Manchester Arena is the city's biggest live indoor event venue, and the country's biggest indoor arena. It's hosted some of music's most iconic acts in its 20 year existence, including Beyonce, The Rolling Stones and Madonna, and it continues to welcome some of the country's favourite bands and largest acts in the industry. The Manchester arena hosts a number of huge sporting events too — it was part of the 2002 Commonwealth Games and held some of the 2012 Olympic events. It's also a prime location for boxing matches and has seen the likes of Mike Tyson, Ricky Hatton and Amir Kahn fight there in the past. On top of that it's seen some of the biggest names in comedy treading the boards — Peter Kay set a record for the venue with 40 shows in one tour at the arena. It's family friendly too, with a number of events suitable for all ages on throughout the year, and it's easily accessible given its location right next to Victoria Station.
