Plan B Books
Plan B Books is Scotland’s only dedicated graphic novel bookshop, situated on Parnie Street in the city centre, it stocks graphic novels, a wide range of children’s books, original art and comics. On a mission to show Glasgow that graphic novels are no longer just comics, here great literary works by the likes of Shakespeare and Arthur Conan Doyle are available in graphic form as well as diverse works by numerous authors originally penned in graphic style. The shop is crammed with bookcases, lovingly laid-out to display the books at their best (i.e. there's no browsing by the spine here!). They’ve also already started an events programme including Bad Movie Nights and book signings, and as the venue is available for hire it'll likely be a full programme before long. Additionally, Plan B Books boast free WiFi and a delicious cup of coffee, the blend of which they apparently change according to the Glasgow weather. Rainy day blend must be their best seller, eh?
