The CCA – Centre for Contemporary Art – is a multi-functioning arts venue that offers a dynamic programme of contemporary film, music, performance and art. Set in a deceptively large building on Sauchiehall Street it houses the bookshop Aye Aye Books, studio and gallery space for artists and the offices of what they refer to as 'cultural tenants', such as Playwright's Studio Scotland and Vanishing Point. The CCA hosts several workshops for artists, such as 'Write, Camera, Action' which allows writers, actors and directors the chance to network and collaborate on projects. Their new Saramago Café Bar offers a relaxed space to enjoy their delicious tapas dishes and home baked organic bread. The bar prides itself on a range of quality beers and wines and can be enjoyed on their outdoor terrace, if you're lucky enough to bag a seat!
