Nexus Art Café

Like a 3D scrapbook, kookily cosy café Nexus is pieced together from a gorgeously haphazard, eclectic spectrum of colourful creativity. As if that wasn't enough adjectives for one review, The Skinny is going to throw "industrious" into the mix, since Nexus is a hub of activity even outside of its kitchen; the custom-designed front window space hosts six exhibitions from local artists every year, while a profusion of fresh musical talent has made the Café a bit of a gigging institution.
Food-wise, expect wholesome, hearty grub sourced exclusively from Fair Trade and organic suppliers from 10am-7pm daily, while every Saturday the Nexus Night Café provides the ingenious service of post-club wind-down. From 2am til 6am, there's a full menu, chilled playlist and board-game battles aplenty.
